Spiced Sour Cherry Spread
An intensely cherry flavoured spread produced by combining Morello cherries, both whole and pureed with tart dried cherries and simmering these in red Burgundy wine and spices. Serve with chicken, duck, pork or game. A good accompaniment for soft or semi soft cow or sheep cheeses. Mix into basmati rice. Top a plain cheesecake. Spoon over chocolate or vanilla ice cream.
